Clarification on the Recommendation for Care Staff in Collectives Tested as Part of Screening
In response to media reports on the Recommendation for Care Staff in Collectives Tested as Part of Screening, as published yesterday, we would like to draw your attention to the following points:
Members of staff without symptoms who have tested positive can continue to work at a COVID department, but solely where no other solution is possible – in other words, where there are staff shortages. Furthermore, this is only permitted where the preconditions can be respected: wearing a mask, more stringent hand hygiene, and only at a COVID department. If there are sufficient staff, or the preconditions cannot be met, then the person concerned must stay at home, just as they should if they were to develop symptoms.
