39 new Covid-19 coronavirus infections

On 8 March, 334 samples were analysed by the network of the KULeuven reference hospital. 39 samples tested positive for Covid-19 virus (22 in Flanders, 7 in Brussels and 10 in Wallonia).

Since the beginning of the epidemic, 239 cases of Covid-19 infections have been detected in Belgium.

Covid-19 is currently starting to circulate among the Belgian population, but it remains limited. Since people returning from Italy reside all over Belgium, this local circulation is observed in different parts of the country.
