59 new cases of Covid-19 detected

Yesterday, Thursday 5 March, 441 samples were analysed and 59 tested positive for Covid-19. Up to now, 109 infections in total by the Covid-19 virus have been detected in Belgium. One patient is cured, 65 patients live in Flanders, 12 in Brussels and 31 in Wallonia. Most positive patients have recently travelled to Italy, but we also notice contaminations within our own country.

These are mostly limited to family members and close relations of the patients. We expect this number will continue to grow.
