27 new cases of Covid-19

On 4th March, 27 new cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus have been detected. 16 patients live in Flanders, 2 come from Brussels and 9 from Wallonia. Most of them were returning from holidays in Italy and show light symptoms (upper respiratory tract infections). They are isolated and cared for at home or in hospital.

A total of 50 Covid-19 cases have been detected in Belgium so far. We expect this number will continue to grow.
